“Disarmingly simple, sincere music that’s as raggedy and
ramshackle as it is heartfelt and human” Eric Eyl – The Denver Post
If you’re a fan of folk-rock, The Lumineers are a band you’ll surely want
to add to your list of up-and-coming favorites. This trio from Denver,
Colorado by way of Brooklyn often approaches Radiohead’s signature quiet,
tied-up desperation, then moves towards the Avett Brothers’ brilliance in
composition and lyricism, and channels that through rhythms that often
recall civil war marches. “Gun Song,” with its irrepressible, rolling and
driving rhythms, juxtaposed by heartbroken, exhaled wails, exemplifies
what the Lumineers bring.
